Dietetics

Practical nutrition advice built around real family meals and budgets.

Our registered dietitian translates medical advice into food you actually eat. Sessions are practical, judgment-free and shaped around your household, your budget and what is available locally.

What this service covers

Nutrition for type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes
Eating for high blood pressure and high cholesterol
Weight management for adults, at a sustainable pace
Child and toddler nutrition, fussy eating and growth concerns
Nutrition in pregnancy and while breastfeeding
Food allergies and intolerances
Nutrition support alongside other medical conditions

What a visit involves

  1. 01A first session of roughly an hour: your health history, current eating pattern and what you would like to change.
  2. 02Measurements where relevant, such as weight, height and waist.
  3. 03A written plan in plain language, with realistic swaps rather than a rigid diet sheet.
  4. 04Follow-up sessions to adjust the plan as life changes.

What to bring

  • Recent blood results, if you have them
  • A list of your current medicines and supplements
  • A rough note of what you ate over the last two or three days
  • Your medical aid card, if you belong to a scheme

Who it suits

Anyone managing a condition where food matters, parents with questions about children's eating, and adults who want a sustainable plan rather than a fad.
