General Practice

Everyday family medicine, from sudden illness to long-term chronic care.

Our GPs are the first port of call for the whole family. Same practice, same records, whether it is a toddler with a fever, a farm injury, a chronic medicine repeat or a routine check-up.

What this service covers

Acute illness: colds and flu, throat and ear infections, stomach bugs, urinary infections
Child health: fever, growth and development, immunisations
Chronic conditions: high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, asthma, thyroid
Health checks and screening for adults, including blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol
Women's and men's health consultations
Minor procedures, wound care and stitches
Mental wellbeing consultations and referral where needed
Referral letters to specialists, radiology and pathology

What a visit involves

  1. 01Reception captures your details digitally — no paper forms to fill in at the desk.
  2. 02A nurse or the doctor records your weight, blood pressure and reason for the visit.
  3. 03The consultation itself: history, examination and a plain-language explanation of what we find.
  4. 04A plan you leave with: prescription, sick note, referral or follow-up date as needed.

What to bring

  • Your ID document
  • Your medical aid card, if you belong to a scheme
  • A list of your current medicines, or the boxes themselves
  • Any recent test results, hospital letters or a referral letter
  • For children: the Road to Health booklet

Who it suits

Anyone in the family, at any age. If you are unsure which of our three services you need, start with the GP.
